GT40 P/2473<br> <br> The iconic GT40 has it all - heart-stopping performance, iconic looks, race-winning-heritage, and movie-star panache. Although the GT40 claimed victories in all the top endurance races of its day, the competition that earned the GT40 its worldwide reputation was the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The winning streak began in 1966, when the GT40 claimed the top three positions in the famed 24-hour race.<br> <br> This GT40 offered here honors that 1966 Le Mans winner. Painted in the heritage livery of the black and silver MKII driven to victory by Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren with the classic satin gold Halibrand Style Wheels and Polished Aluminum Spinners. Satin Talbot Mirrors are both period correct and functional.<br> <br> P/2473 is powered by a Roush 427IR Windsor V8 with silver ceramic coated "Bundle of Snakes" headers and exhaust. The intake manifold, timing cover and water pump housing are all enamel coating for long lasting good looks and easy maintenance. Satin trumpets sit on top of the 8 velocity stacks feeding the electronic fuel injection. A Quaife 5 Speed Transaxle gets the over 560HP to the rear wheels. An Engine Bay Roll Bar is included as an added measure of safety.<br> <br> This Left Hand drive, Center Shift GT40 has the optional full leather package interior, and features classic Smiths Gauges, Battery Shutoff Switch on the Passenger Side Firewall, Air Conditioning/Heater/Defroster with controls in the driver side doors, Carpet on floors and rear bulkhead, Dynamat Sound Deadening and Heat Dissipation Package, Rear View Mirror and Front End Lift System. Willans Four Point Harnesses strap you in for street or track.<br> <br> Authenticity was the Superformance engineers' goal when re-creating the GT40. It carries the GT40/P chassis number and is built to the exact standards of the car back in the 1960s. It is so authentic that over two thirds of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with the original GT40s.<br> <br> GT40P/2473 is titled as 1965 SUPF GT40 in Montana and has 140 miles.
