Of the C3 Corvettes produced by Chevrolet, the "Indy Pace Car" replica's just might be the most highly sought after. The two tone black and silver paint combined with silver leather interior was unlike any other package GM offered. Sources such as Corvetteforum.com state 6502 of these limited edition Vettes were produced. Allegedly, 3434 were equipped with the L48 350ci and automatic transmission, which this beauty has. The consignors family has owned the car for nearly two decades and they believe the mileage of just slightly over 27k to be correct. If you are a Corvette collector or enthusiast, this is not a plastic wrapped museum piece. What this particular '78 Pace Car is is a nice driver quality car that needs a new home and a little TLC.
